Trap/Skeet News

It’s never too late to consider being a sponsor for Clear Path for Veterans. When we started this, we raised $10,00.00. Each year after that was $10,000.00 more. Last year (our 5th year) we raised $50,000.00! Let’s see if we can do $60,000.00. Here’s the info:

While we won the league for the South, we did not win the league for Champion. Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, we hosted the CNY Trap league shoot-off. It was a beautiful day and had over 300 shooters. Here are the winners:

We presented a check for $50,000.00 to Clear Path for Veterans on July 19th, 2025 at 1:00pm in the clubhouse.

Even though we had all kinds of weather conditions for the shoot, we still had a great turnout. I do believe we had 21 squads. We started out with somewhat nice conditions, then it changed. We had rain, wind and thick fog at 2 separate times. But they still shot on!! And the winners from our Clear Path for Veterans 5th Annual Trap shoot are (l-r) Champion Edwin Johnson, runner-up Brad Heath, 3rd place Robert Conger & high military veteran Robert Grant. Congratulations to everyone!!!

Dennis Bobbette was awarded the Impact Award from the CNY Business Journal for his work with the Clear Path or Veterans annual Trap shoot. Congratulations and job well done Dennis. Here is the award and article:

Just a reminder that the trap and skeet houses are automatic. This means you can shoot anytime without the clubhouse being open! However, you will need a card to access the houses. These can be purchased whenever the clubhouse is open and can be used whenever. Members can add on to their card(s) whatever amount they choose – $5/round= 25 birds. Once you scan your card be ready to shoot. Mics are very sensitive – so no chit-chatting at the line!!

We now have shelters for our trap scorers! Earl, Dennis & Pat built these structures.

Our trap and skeet houses are automatic. This means that you need a card to use them. Cards can be purchased inside at the clubhouse. Clubhouse is open Mondays 5pm-7:30pm, Tuesdays 5pm-9pm, Thursdays 5pm-7:30pm & Saturdays 10am-3pm. Cards are $5/round (27 birds per round). Trap houses set up for play are 1 & 2. Speakers are in the first scoring shed. The card scanner for trap is on the front of the pavillion (facing trap house 1). There are also instructions on how to use the automatic fields for trap & skeet. Once the speakers are hooked up, be ready to shoot. The mics are extremely sensitive!! If you are not ready to shoot and are talking, birds will start to fly!!! The card reader for skeet is on the middle house & the farthest away house (from the pavillion).
